I’m from Lexington.
How long have you been a member at Steel Fox and why did you join?
I’ve been a member for about a year now. I started with Steel Fit and within about 2 months switched over to Crossfit. I was a college athlete and loved our team workouts. After school, I had gotten bored doing solo workouts at the gym and was looking for a new atmosphere to challenge me to do workouts that I wouldn’t choose to do on my own.
What classes do you usually attend?
I typically attend the 5:30pm crossfit class. I also like to do the partner workouts on Saturday mornings and sometimes attend open gym to work on things that I want to improve on.
What do you like to do outside of Steel Fox?
Outside of crossfit, I enjoy being active. I was a softball and ice hockey player growing up and love playing both socially now. I also enjoy Cape weekends and traveling!
What is something we might not know about you?
Something you may not know about me is that I am a triplet. I have a brother and sister, but I’m the oldest by 1 minute!
What is your favorite movement?
My favorite movement is either the strict press or squats.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment would probably be completing my masters in special education in a one-year accelerated program. I started one week after I completed my bachelors and was also working full time.
What is one long term goal and one short term goal?
My long term goal is to be able to do 5 consecutive strict pull ups. My short term goal is to be able to do a handstand push-up.
What motivates and inspires you?
Working out in a gym with great coaches and company is really motivating for me. Whether you are the first or the last one finishing a workout, people are always there cheering you on.
