After seeing her sister in law Amy’s progress, Rosa knew that CrossFit is what she needed to take her training to the next level. She joined us just 5 short months ago in June of 2017 and has been making amazing progress so far. Rosa is from Medford Massachusetts and is the mother of 2 young boys who are her pride and joy. She says “My greatest accomplishment in life is having raised two amazing son's, who have become well rounded young men. My job as a mom has been one of the hardest, but I have always tried to guide them and be there for them.” When Rosa is not at the box kicking A$$ she is at work as a hair stylist which she has been doing for a whopping 27 years.
Rosa’s is a very goal oriented woman. When asked what her long term and short term goals are she states
“My long term goal whether at CrossFit or in life is to be the best version of me. Want to stay healthy, strong and motivate others.
My short term goal is to take one day at a time and listen to my body. Allow myself to do what it can that day and move on. Don't overlook the moment.”
We asked Rosa what motivates her, and her answer came as no surprise.
“Striving to be healthy and accomplishing tasks in my life is my motivation. It also motivates me to be good example to my son's so they can be there best and enjoy life.
It inspires me when I see others working hard, whether it's my teammates at CrossFit, co-workers or others. When I see others thriving it inspires me to keep going!”
Rosa takes direction and suggestions from us coaches very well. She knows that perfecting her form on her lifts and such takes priority over what weight she uses, as Rosa plans to be with us for a lifetime of fitness and understands the importance of technique. She has progressed tremendously in the past 5 months and we are so excited to see what the next few months hold for her. Way to go Rosa!
